Isaac’s New York State of Mind

Isaac LOVES everything about New York!  He loves the lights and glamour and even the grit and urban qualities.

The ceremony and party were both held at The Temple Midtown, a beautiful space in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

Amusement Masters was able to design a graffiti wall to contribute to this cool theme, and Eventscapes Decor completed the theme with graffiti designed linen table cloths, faux brick walls, chain linked fencing and more!

Each of the tables were assigned famous avenue or street names; Wallstreet, Broadway and 5th Avenue to name a few.

VIBE Entertainment kept the dance floor packed and the party going the whole night through.

Vosamo Photography and James Futch Video captured countless memories, and helped Isaac and his family remember all of the special moments of the evening.

Dennis Dean Catering provided delectable cuisine enjoyed by both the younger and older guests. Doughnuts were passed out at the end of the evening, and all of the kids enjoyed candy sushi for dessert!

A few thoughts from mom:

Love, love, love her!! She is so creative and extremely capable to do all, some, or only a little of the planning.  She has WONDERFUL vendors and great working relationships with them.  She can split your budget a million different ways, depending upon what is most important to you. For example, since Isaac is a burgeoning chef and a foodie, we focused on really good food, a non traditional menu, and unique, fun ways to present and enjoy different fare. She is smart, experienced, and knows how to get things done. Her no-nonsense direct style was so easy to work with, especially since I’m not very adept at beating around the bush. Tara and her crew had everything under control (including appeasing my mother in law and rectifying a restaurant’s mistake during Friday night’s dinner for 60 out of towners), so much that I felt like a guest all weekend!

The ONLY reason we are not hiring her again, is that someone else booked her for Simi’s BM weekend first!!

All Star Celebration!

Samuel’s Bar Mitzvah seamlessly combined his two favorite sports, golf and baseball.

This classy party had something for everyone. The guests enjoyed cocktail hour with entertainment by magician Michael Boone, and passed appetizers like ahi tuna, spring rolls, chicken tacos, and potato latkes.

The younger guests filled up on hot dogs from a hot dog cart, french fries, tacos and a salad bar, while the adults enjoyed a prime rib with french fries and spinach roulade among lots of other choices.

Added Touch Catering did a wonderful job, and made certain that nobody went hungry or thirsty! The glassware even lit up in fun colors as the kids drank.

Eventscapes did a fabulous job integrating both Samuel’s favorite sports together, and transformed a kids party into a classy and fun event for both kids and adults alike. There were even casino tables for the adult guests; two Texas Hold ‘Em, and two Blackjack. So much fun!

Cotton Cravings provided delicious cotton candy in unique flavors such as chocolate raspberry, key lime, candy cane, and birthday cake, and Ali’s Cookies provided a beautiful, 3-tiered baseball cake.

Chuck Robertson Photography and James Futch Video each did an amazing job at capturing memories that Samuel and his family will fondly look back on for years to come.

Let’s talk about entertainment! Atlanta Fever provided rockin’ music and dancers that kept the crowd involved throughout the evening, and Memories in a Moment provided a green screen for the kids to take fun photos with. Airbrush tatoos were even offered, a real hit!

A great time was had by all. Congratulations Samuel on your achievements!

Beautiful Garden Wedding – Can You Dig It?

Bride and Groom Jennifer and Chase opted to hold their unique wedding celebration at the historic King Plow Arts Center in West Midtown. The Center has been transformed from an antiquated plow factory into an arts community and center for commercial, performing and visual arts, and served as the perfect venue for the couple’s special day.

Juli Vaughn Designs transformed the rustic and somewhat industrial space into a soft, garden themed event, with hanging lanterns and Edison light bulbs all over the room. Small wood pieces served as place card holders, and everyone signed a slice of a tree for the bride and groom to keep; a different take on the tradition guest book.

As an added touch, photos of late family members were positioned on the place card table, to honor their memory.

Alison Church Photography took beautiful photos to treasure for a lifetime, capturing the true essence of the event.

Good music is one of the key elements of memorable wedding receptions, and The Moxie Band did not disappoint; keeping the dance floor packed throughout the evening.

The beautiful cake, courtesy of Sweet Startts looked almost too beautiful to eat….but don’t worry, it was indeed eaten, and tasted as wonderful as it looked!

They even handed out flip flops for all the girls to dance in, kick off your heels!

This wedding was unique, rustic and romantic, and we loved helping to bring it together for the happy couple!

With décor by Balloonacy and cuisine by Sandra’s Added Touch Catering, Jessica’s guests were all impressed by the beautiful and delicious celebration that ensued.

Then, it was time to party! The celebration continued at Roswell River Landing, and what a celebration it was!

AAA DJ Services provided rockin’ tunes that kept the guests entertained throughout the afternoon, and Scensations Photography captured shots that Jessica and her family will surely cherish for years to come.

Jilly’s Cupcakes and Uncle Maddio’s Pizza provided pizza and cupcakes for Jessica’s young guests. What 13 year old doesn’t like pizza and cupcakes? Needless to say, the food was a real hit!

Lights, Camera, Action! A Hollywood Wedding

When two creative people tie the knot, the result is an old Hollywood style wedding not soon to be forgotten.

Bride and groom Lorna and Davey, celebrated their nuptials at the Academy of Medicine, one of the most beautiful and historic venues in the city. The Academy is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and boasts beautiful composition, neoclassical architecture and is nestled in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

Looking to bring a bit of their own individual style to the ceremony, the bride’s bouquet was completed by book pages, and the groom’s boutonniere with small pieces of film strip, a nod to both of their professions as an author and a filmmaker.

BOLD was responsible for the decor and catering, and did an amazing job. The menu was incredible; complete with a beautifully creative Caesar salad in a Parmesan crisp ring, and soup topped with cheddar popcorn, to keep with the movie theme.

The guests were even invited to build their own desserts; they simply chose their ice cream flavor and toppings, and the chefs onsite created each individual concoction in dry ice.

Both the bride and groom’s Great Expectations (she’s an author…see what we did there?) were met with beautiful photography by Shawna Herring, and thankfully nobody “broke a leg” (filmmaker…so clever) dancing the night away with AAA DJ Services.

To top off an amazing evening, the bride’s brother proposed to his girlfriend during pictures so that the whole family could share in their special moment.

We loved being a part of Lorna and Davey’s special day, and wish them their very own happily ever after.
