What a Day for a White Wedding

Matt and Andrea said “I Do” at the fabulous Loews Hotel in Midtown. Jim White and Lynne Wells Designs adorned the space in romantic white and cream colors with beautiful attention to detail, while Crush Event Rentals provided gorgeous furniture.

Andrea walked down the aisle to live music by Atlanta Sound to meet her handsome groom under the chuppah.

After tearful “I Dos” were exchanged, the happy couple and wedding party headed off for pictures by Robin Nathan Photography. To see the pictures of this wedding on her blog, click here.

Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed delicious appetizers of cheeses, dried fruits, and grilled veggies during cocktail hour.

Cooper_Oppy_1858

Once the guests were invited into the reception space, they found their seats and at each place setting there was a mini Challah from Best Breads in different flavors.

While we’re on the subject of food, let us say that the Loews Hotel did not disappoint in said department! Dinner was quite the elegant affair: guests enjoyed an incredible and colorful baby lettuce salad with a chive, lemon vinaigrette, vegetarian sushi with wasabi aioli, a grilled cobia fish with a beautiful vegetable medley topped with a tomato, basil and shallot relish. YUM.

Now that you’re trying to eat your screen, let’s move on to the partaaayyyyyyy!!

Cooper_Oppy_1509

There is nothing like a live band for your event and Atlanta Party Band from East Coast Entertainment simply brought the house down! The energy in the room was palpable and all of the guests packed the dance floor throughout the night.

Cooper_Oppy_1557

If there is one thing we recommend for any event, it’s a great videographer. Often times it’s hard to remember (even though you’re sure you will) the little details of such an epic event as your wedding, so a great videographer is key. A big thanks to Reason I Love for capturing all of the fabulous memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Should we talk about food again?!

Ali’s Cookies created a deliciously different lavender flavored wedding cake that was a huge crowd hit, and The Loews did a fabulous job on the ever popular dessert bar.

Perhaps the most memorable sweet treat, however, was the Marzipan made by the matriarchs from the bride’s side of the family.

Congratulations to Andrea and Matt on embarking on this new chapter in their lives. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day; we loved watching it all come together!

Testimonial:

After witnessing Tara’s endless energy and magnetic personality at my son’s wedding, I knew I wanted her to assist in planning my daughter’ s wedding. In fact, she was the first phone call I made! Initially I wondered if I needed her throughout the whole process. But after deciding to hire her from the start, I was grateful many times over with my decision. Tara provided resources and experience with vendors and negotiating tactics and suggestions when contracting. She was enthusiastic and can-do throughout. She responded promptly to calls and email, and many times worked after traditional business hours. Exuding confidence and knowledge of every detail of our wedding weekend, she unknowingly provided a much needed dose of calmness to our family. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend hiring Tara Kornblum and her pleasant and capable Bluming Creativity staff when planning an event.

“On Wednesdays, We Wear PINK.”

Jolie threw an awesome Bat Mitzvah for her friends and family at the eclectic Mason Fine Art Center.

untitled (11 of 17)

The quintessential girly girl, Jolie opted for pink, pink décor everywhere! With gorgeous pink and silver lighting, paddle balloons hanging from the ceiling, a light up bar complete with her logo, and lounge couches, her guests truly celebrated in style, and we’d like to give a big shout out to Tulip for making it possible!

As the adults mingled during cocktail hour, they noshed on appetizers like seared tuna, tiny blackened tilapia crunchy tacos, vegetarian spring rolls, and crostini with herbed goat cheese, while the younger guests enjoyed vegetarian sushi rolls and spring rolls. The kids even got their own specialty cocktail: Jolie’s hot PINK Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail. So fun!

As guest made their way into the event space, they were greeted with a fabulous meal that only Sandra’s Added Touch Catering can provide. The adults enjoyed an exquisite dinner of miso glazed salmon, Asian ramen noodles, pizza-made fresh out of the oven in the party, deconstructed grilled green veggies, and a fresh, fruity green salad.

The kids emjoyed some classic kid faves like mac and cheese, fresh Pizza Parlor pizza, and Caesar salad shakers.

Once everyone had had their fill, DJ Fever cranked up the energy and all of today’s tunes and kicked this party into high gear!

As Jolie’s guests danced the night away, photographer Jeff Blumenthal and videographer James Futch captured all of the night’s best moments.

Memories in a Moment was also a huge source of entertainment for both kids and adults alike, providing a fun and less formal photo outlet for all.

If you’re not already hungry from reading today’s post, let’s talk more about food! Dessert consisted of mouth watering individual shots of chocolate mousse, caramel expresso brownies with sea salt, a Krispy Kreme PINK doughnut tree, and Carnival Promotions dazzled the crowd with cotton candy on glow-cones.

As the evening came to a close, all of the younger guests left with shirts and the adults were offered these adorable Dr. Abadi Hangover Cure Elixirs in 3 colors: “The Sunday Squeeze” (orange), “The Green Machine” (green), and “The Power Punch” (purple). The “cures” were handed out by girls dressed up as nurses and it was such a cute touch; everyone loved it!

Saturday night’s party took place at the Cobb Energy Center, and featured some of the coolest performers we have ever seen.

The party kicked off with the adults in cocktail hour, noshing on delicious cuisine such as a mushroom and brie tart, chipotle chicken skewer, lamb lollipop and some pretty amazing sushi. While they ate, they were entertained by strolling acrobats (well, maybe they were doing back flips rather than strolling) and dazzled by Josh and Ken’s strolling magic.

Once it was time to be moved into the main event, the guests were led by stilt walkers and then immediately treated to a Magic Show! Josh and Ken were joined by Kevin Spencer, another talented magician who is also a world-renowned Illusionist with dozens of accolades to his credit. He and his wife, Cindy, were the recipients of the Merlin Award for International Magicians of the Year (2009) and six-time recipients of Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year. Most recently, the Milbourne Christopher Foundation honored them as Illusionists of the Year (2015). Soooooo yeah, amazing.

Saturday night’s party was so awesome, we bet it’s hard to believe that there’s more!

Sunday’s Magic Show, held at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, was a packed show and all of Saturday’s night’s magicians performed along with the star of the show himself, Ari.

Carnival Promotions provided popcorn for the guests and the show was amazing. Ari is so charismatic and comfortable on the stage and you could see his parents, Doug and Leslie, beaming with pride from the sidelines.

The ticket sales benefitted Hocus Focus and the Blonder Department at the JCC, and all of the guests were so impressed by the performances of all of the acts.

Our favorite? The finale. Ari (with the help of a few volunteers) locked himself in a box with his hands locked in handcuffs, and through some crazy bit of magic we can’t even BEGIN to understand, managed to disappear and pull his lovely assistant, his cousin, out of the box instead!

But the décor didn’t stop there; Bradley also had a cool, custom decal on the dance floor and even had Ice Sculptures Unlimited craft him an awesome baseball themed sculpture!

As the guests entered the “field”, they were greeted with (true to theme) pastry wrapped hot dogs with spicy mustard, as well as a delicious roasted pear and brie bruschetta, among many others.

The kids enjoyed apps of pretzel bites and tater tots. What’s not to love??

As the party kicked off, DJ Mello, with Atlanta Fever cranked up some cool baseball sounds and played the Braves tomahawk chop theme song to Bradley’s entrance. Bradley even had a personalized tomahawk to enter the scene with!

Another cool feature of Bradley’s party with the special appearance of Homer, the Braves official mascot! Needless to say, the crowd loved it.

Once guests had settled in to the party, dinner was served. Some of the stations included, a slider station, a tenderloin station, salmon station, and salad station. Oh and the kids even had a nacho station! We may or may not have seen a few adults slip into the kids line as well….;)

The evening ended with a tribute circle to Bradley, as DJ Mello played “Lean on Me”. It was such a great ending to the night, and photographer Chuck Robertson as well as videographer James Futch caught all of the action on film.

Je T’aime.

Natalie and James said ‘I Do’ at the gorgeous St. Regis Atlanta.

Surrounded by their friends and family, and a touch of Parisian elegance, the couple shared a beautiful day, sure to be remembered for a lifetime.

Natalie and James were married by Natalie’s Uncle, Michael Tune, and once the deal was sealed, they sent all of their guests to cocktail hour while they had photos taken by the super talented, Catherine Park.

mlp-3125

Guests dined on Tuna Tartare in a Black Sesame Cone with Avocado Mousse, a deconstructed “PLT” and Caprese Skewers with White Balsamic. Y.U.M.

Once the guests were moved into the reception space, they were all wowed by the elegant, Parisian touches Natalie chose as a nod to her mother, who was from Paris. Let’s Celebrate did a fabulous job incorporating Natalie’s vision into her stunning décor. We’d also like to give a shout out to Crush Rentals, who provided the furniture and the mirrored sweetheart table.

We don’t want to take up an entire paragraph about what guests ate for dinner, but it is all SO worth mentioning! The couple’s guests dined on Seared Colorado Lamb Chop with an English Mint Sauce, Miniature Corndogs with Spicy Mustard, Miniature Open Faced Beef, Truffle Crusted Diver Scallop, Sweet Corn Puree and Chive Shoots, Chilled Asparagus Soup with Lobster and Heart of Palm Salad, Bibb Lettuce Cup with Seasonal Mixed Greens and Cucumber bundle……yes we’re still going…. Marinated tomatoes and Citrus Vinaigrette, Herb Marinated Beef Tenderloin, Smoked Cheddar and Leek Gratin, Sundried Tomato Crusted Grouper, and Pancetta Brussels Sprouts.

Whew! Are you trying to eat your screen? Us too.

Once everyone was blissfully stuffed from dinner, the party moved to the dance floor where the band, Emerald Empire, rocked the house all night long. Natalie and James danced the night away to the delight of the crowd.

One of the coolest parts of this wedding was the Champagne Saber; a guy opens a bottle of champagne with a knife and it’s really quite impressive! Needless to say, the crowd loved it.

mlp-7097

Should we talk about more food? We’ll try to keep it short and sweet. 😉

Dessert was nothing short of decadent, with Salted Caramel Truffle Chocolate Devil’s Food Cake and Almond Joy Pound Cake.

mlp-6054

Another really cute touch was the butler passed Vanilla and Chocolate Milkshakes and Pistachio Macaroons.

As the night came to a close, the guests departed with slap-penz.

We’d like to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the new Mr. and Mrs. and wish them all the best for their future together!
