All You Need is Love.

As event planners, we see lots and lots of weddings. This particular wedding however, had tons of truly unique personal touches and incorporated so much of what was near and dear to the couple’s hearts: family.

The bride and groom live in Washington DC, so the bride’s mom handled all of the details here in Atlanta, while the bride and groom helped from afar. Mom knew that the couple wanted a real party, so a party is what they got!

The celebration kicked off with the ceremony, held at the Emory Conference Center. The bride’s dad built the chuppah himself, and all of the family was involved in the ceremony, so everyone really felt a part of Cara and Matt’s special day. The ceremony itself was even officiated by the bride’s aunt, and despite the extremely windy conditions, her touching message was heard throughout the crowd.

After the ceremony, it was time to move on to the party! The bride’s grandmother was a painter, so Cara thought it would be wonderful to incorporate some of her work on the placecards. Mom had even more special touches, and instead of a traditional guest book, she had old vintage postcards laid out for everyone to sign.

The Wedding Players provided beautiful ceremony music, while DJ Lethal Rhythms made sure this party was a PAR-TAY, with great music that really kept the crowd dancing the night away.

This was truly a unique event, and we were so happy to have been able to witness this true display of love, laughter, and above all, family.

A Perfect Two Point Shot: Ryan & Spencer’s Dual Bar-Mitzvah Celebration!

Ryan and Spencer, celebrated at Lifetime Fitness in Sandy Springs with their friends and family.  Both avid basketball players, they requested that the venue be transformed to something near and dear to both their hearts: the basketball court!

mmp-04mmp-03

In a dual Bar Mitzvah celebration, the boys made a grand entrance with three professional Atlanta Hawks cheerleaders, a scene that most certainly made every other teenaged boy in attendance green with envy!

mmp-15

We filled the court with all their favorite things; food, games, and music.  The Varsity Truck Catering, On The Border Catering, Mocha My Day Coffee Service, Steve and Sally Bartending and Dippin Dots all made sure the guests had an array of delicious cuisine to choose from.

mmp-07mmp-09

The court was made cozy with inflatable furniture and basketball bean bag chairs, and PJ Balloons rounded out the décor with fun and colorful balloons and other fun accents.

mmp-05mmp-10

Horizon DJ did not disappoint and kept the party rockin’ throughout the evening, while Air Illustrations Airbrush Tattoos made sure all of the kids went home with super cool (parent approved) ink.

mmp-25mmp-22

Not a moment was missed thanks to James Futch Videography, Mitzvah Man Photography, and Peachtree Pictures Green Screen.

At the end of the evening, all of their friends left the party with a custom t-shirt and Krispy Kreme donut! What more could a kid ask for?!

Ski with me?

Who says you have to live in Colorado to have a ski lodge inspired Bar Mitzvah?

 photo 1

Held at Mazzy’s in Norcross, this event was so different from the norm; it’s not often that you associate ski lodge with Atlanta, the heart of the south.

photo 2

With the help of Kim Quinn Designs, a winter wonderland was created; complete with skis at the entryway of the venue, pine cones in vases as centepieces, and wooden trees. Mom had even purchased moose (yes, we had to google the plural of the word “moose”) props, wooden trees, antler picture frames, and metal tins with snowflakes and pine trees.

photo 1-1

To keep with the winter-y theme, Taste by Sam made S’mores pops for all of the guests to enjoy!

IMG_1026

Photographer Steven Dewberry captured all of the fun and memorable moments, while Southern Nights Photo Booth provided a fun alternative to the traditional photos.

The guest of honor, surrounded by his family and friends, danced the night away to the tunes of the times, provided by Horizon DJ Entertainment. And as usual, little sister Zoe won the hula hoop contest!

IMG_1023

To round out a fun filled evening, Georgia Airbrush painted custom designs on ski hats for all of the kids; perfect for the theme and perfect for these cold winter days!

Henry’s Homerun Celebration!

What little boy doesn’t love baseball? Hot dogs, cotton candy, Cracker Jacks, and the dream of hitting the game winning home run. What’s not to love? Well, our Bar Mitzvah boy, Henry loves baseball just as much as the next fella, and proved it by throwing a baseball themed Bar Mitzvah celbration at Mazzy’s in Norcross.

Kim Quinn Designs really knocked it out of the park (see what we did there?) with the decor; adorning the venue with brightly colored signs, banners, and even an authentic concession stand!

Pure Entertainment DJ really swung for the fences (yes, we did it again) and kept the party rockin’ throughout the evening.

Barry Shapiro Photography didn’t miss a moment, and captured memories throughout the evening, while Button it Up Green Screen allowed the guests to let loose, and create photos of their own with fun props and backgrounds.

Henry and his guests had a wonderful time, and at the end of the day, the whole event was a real home run!

Barry Taratoot photographed the entire weekend’s festivities and really captured all of the fun and memorable moments.

On Saturday night, the family had a dessert reception at their residence for all of their close family and friends. Classic Tents and Events provided a heated tent that occupied the bar, food station and coffee bar.

Viva La Mexico!

Longtime couple Leanne and Cary opted for a classy, Mexican themed wedding at Cantina in Buckhead.

 b-131

Like any good groom, Carey ADORES Leanne and all of her thoughts and ideas regarding the planning of their wedding, so it was truly a pleasure to bring Leanne’s vision to life. Leanne’s mom also did an amazing job helping to execute Leanne’s vision and  helping to get each tiny detail completed.

b-28

This unique wedding featured a build-your-own-taco bar, as well as other modern Mexican options, and boasted wine, beer, sangria, and tequila shots at the bar. So fun!

b-1670b-1343

AAA DJ Services kept this already rowdy crowd (did we mention the tequila shots?) dancing the night away, and Jeremy Adamo made sure not a moment was missed; capturing all of the memories of this special day.

b-1744

Their beautiful cake, courtesy of Publix, was both gorgeous and delicious.

We loved being a part of this fun, colorful celebration and wish Leanne and Cary all the best for the future!

The Savage Garden was responsible for the décor; beautiful hues of purple and greens amongst moss and branches. With it’s soft, pastel palatte, the space was transformed into an enchanted garden!

The bride and groom are also avid music lovers and are both musicians, so the event was infused with a cool music vibe as well. The groom’s cake was even in the shape of a vinyl record!

The couple chose Atlanta Beat for their band, and they were amazing; then even allowed the bride and groom’s band to play a set. The groom wrote an original song for his bride, and they shared their first dance to the tune of this special song.

Chameleon Red Photography was onsite to capture all of the priceless moments; we particularly love these of the bride and groom rocking out with their band.

Baby’s Breath at it’s Best

This stunning couple made all the right decisions for their big day — including saying YES!

Madeleine_and_Greg_014

Allowing for the natural beauty of their venue, King Plow Arts Center, the couple opted for a simple and chic black and white color scheme.

Madeleine_and_Greg_0221photo 1

Using baby’s breath and candle light to accent, the design was simple, elegant, and timeless. Steve Bales with Bold American Designs did a wonderful job!

BOLD Catering was responsible for the delectable cuisine and consistently boasts some of the best service in town!

Event Performance Entertainment produced a beautiful ceremony and really kept the party going throughout the reception as well!

David and Kendrick of Our Labor of Love Photography snapped amazing and creative shots throughout the evening – we love this shot of the bride’s “something blue” shoes.
