Simple Summer Solarium
A beautiful day at the Solarium in Decatur over the summer. The bride made all the centerpieces and decorated herself. She wanted it simple but elegant and with mini candle gardens on some of the tables she got just that. As it got dark it looked very pretty….
She also had a great idea to write special notes on rocks so that the couple could keep them as a keepsake in a vase or on a shelf… different but interesting…
Baby Shower – Idea for Anything!
Beautiful Baby Shower for a baby boy. Relish did a great job with the food and we kept the decor simple but pretty. The vases had decoupage pictures of the mommy as a baby, it was a very nice touch that connected the mother in yet another way. Vases were easy to make so could be a great gift for an anniversary, holiday present or any other celebration. Water, glass vase, decoupage glue from a craft store, and a paintbrush – all you need! And maybe a tarp so you don’t make a mess….
Orlando in August
Erin and Doug had an amazing wedding weekend, Erin was an organized on-top-of-it bride who had help from her unbelievable mother but their personal touches were what made this day extra special. They are lucky to have each other! Very lucky and I am sure that Doug is happy that they are married and not still planning…
Back to the Blog
So I haven’t been blogging for awhile, but looking forward to getting back to it. A lot has changed, before I was just blogging for myself, to keep good ideas in one place with pictures so that if I ever wanted to come back to them I would have them, but now I have started my own event planning business so I am getting to use all of my ideas and create a new reality, I love it! I will keep posting fun and innovative ideas but now I am also able to post others ideas that have worked at events we have done and more. Stay tuned…..
Baby Shower Bib Decorating
I have a lot of friends that are pregnant or have just had children. So that means that lately I have been to a lot of baby showers. Usually there is a bit of down time in between eating and presents – or during present opening.
Decorate Bibs! Give each person a plain white bib and a couple of fabric markers. Let them write, draw and decorate anything that they would like on the bibs. Polka dots, cute messages, or pictures. Fun to do and the new mom will love them!
