mlp-6096Emily and Corey said “I Do” at the rustic and trendy King Plow in Midtown.

Inspired by the couple’s love of their garden, Juli Vaughn Designs transformed the space into a warm, romantic, and GORGEOUS indoor garden in the middle of January!

We just cannot say enough about the beautiful job Juli and her team did on the décor; it was literally breathtaking. We especially LOVED this gorgeous shelf of flowers and candles hanging over the sweetheart table.

We’d also like to give a shout out to Steve Hicks with Atlanta Event Décor for the stage and the rustic farm table that guests used for the couple’s sign in “plank”. The plank was such a creative idea; instead of signing a guest book, Emily and Cory’s friends and family all wrote words of congratulations on a wooden plank to be turned into a bench and cherished in the couple’s garden.

Emily walked down the aisle to her eagerly awaiting groom and the two were married in a simple and beautiful ceremony. Once the couple was escorted to their private dining room (to grab a much needed bite to eat), guests moved into cocktail hour, where they enjoyed cocktails, and noshed on fabulous passed appetizers.

Everyone was then invited into the main reception area where they enjoyed a plated salad of kale, candied pecans, blue cheese and granny smith apples, topped in a cider vinaigrette, courtesy of Bold American Events.

Emily and Corey opted for a cool South City Kitchen inspired menu, boasting fried chicken and gravy, mac and cheese and broccolini. They also featured a mouthwatering lemon sole served with kale, fingerling potatoes and sautéed Brussel sprouts. The coolest feature of the menu however was a “build-your-own” BBQ bowl of sorts; a huge hit with the guests!

Once everyone had had their fill, the band, Emerald Empire, kicked into high gear and everyone hit the dance floor. One of the most memorable things about this event was how laid back and relaxed both the bride and groom were; they were literally just absorbing the LOVE in the room and embracing every moment of their fabulous celebration.

Catherine Park, with My Life Photography captured some gorgeous shots of all this evening had to offer, and the results were absolutely stunning.

Emily and Corey’s guests enjoyed a sweet ending to their magical night with an almond and chocolate cake by Ali’s cookies as well as Nutella pie pops (ridiculous!), salted caramel tarts and a turtle cheesecake trifle.

We think it’s safe to say that the couple’s gorgeous garden wedding was a success and we wish them nothing but love and a lifetime of happiness for the future!
