It’s Like Raaaaaaain on Your Wedding Day!

This beautiful couple opted to say “I Do” at The Montaluce Winery, who provided a decadent and delicious 3 course meal with paired wines that blended seamlessly with each course.

DSC_4330

With the help of Juli Vaughn Designs, the ceremony, officiated by Rabbi Peter S. Berg, was scheduled to be outside alongside the rows of grapevines. Juli and her team worked tirelessly to set up the most unique chuppah.

As is every bride’s nightmare, a terrible rains storm started brewing. But Juli and her team didn’t miss a beat; and at the 11th hour (along with some helpful members of the Montaluce staff) awkwardly carried a chuppah up a 50 yard muddy slope to the second floor of the reception space. In the end, it was unbelievably beautiful and perfect. Juli’s flowers and table arrangements were thoughtful and personal to the bride and groom.

Michelle Marie Photography did a beautiful job capturing the true essence and elegance of the event; and even captured this priceless shot of the bride and groom playing DJ.

G Salon and Spa was responsible for the hair and makeup of all of the ladies of the wedding party, and everyone looked absolutely stunning!

Adele Wang was responsible for the beautiful and personal ceremony music while Fernando of Lethal Rhythms kept the party rockin’ once the couple sealed the deal.

Their amazing cake, was not only gorgeous to look at, but was pretty delicious too, thanks to Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet Inc.

And finally, what’s a wedding without transportation in style? A special thanks to Crown Mountain Limo for their prompt and attentive service.

Even though mother nature provided an unwelcome hiccup in this event, our wonderful vendors came through in a pinch and made sure that this couple’s special day was a success!

Starr of the Night!

Zoe was the “Starr” of the night and lit up the club for her Bat Mitzvah celebration!

scenesationszoe2892

Held at Roswell Historic Cottage, this casual and fun celebration featured an outdoor cocktail hour, then dinner from local food trucks; The Fry Guy, and Gezzo’s Tacos. Then Zest Catering and Rita’s Ice provided the rest of the yummy food.

Mother nature couldn’t have provided a more gorgeous night, and Let’s Celebrate did an amazing job with the indoor décor, so the setting was absolutely perfect.

scenesationszoe2585

Zoe really wanted to play up the “clubby” feel, so she even had bouncers at the door checking kids in.

scenesationszoe2739

Everyone danced the night away with the help of Atlanta Fever, who kept the club jumpin’. 😉

Memories in a Moment provided a green screen so that the guest were able to take photos with silly backgrounds and fun props, and Photographer Patti Colvert captured professional photos for Zoe and her family to cherish.

scenesationszoe2001

To round out a fun and festive evening, Zoe  gave out flashing cups filled with candy at the end of the night. So creative and so much fun!

This daytime event really encompassed a casual, picnic-y feel, with Nick and the Grooves performing a-capella music for the crowd, and fun games on each table for the guests to play. Uncle Sam on stilts was even spotted; juggling and making balloon animals.

One of the features we found super creative and memorable were the plantable kippot; each guest was able to plant them after they were worn and watch them grow.

The party continued for family members only, Saturday evening at Wisteria Lanes at the Emory Conference Center.

Dragons, Gargoyles, and Magic – Oh My!

Here at BC, we see many events with cool and creative themes, but this one really took the cake!

IMG_7743

With a Harry Potter theme, this guest of honor knew exactly what he wanted and Monte Carlo Productions did a wonderful job bringing his vision to life! Life size statues of gargoyles, dragons, and broomsticks (oh my!) set the stage for the rest of the amazing decor; including 100 hanging candles, a black and white dancefloor, and beautifully simple tablescapes.

IMG_7661IMG_7664

The tables were named after the 4 houses from Harry Potter, and the colors matched as well.

IMG_7421

Mom made the adorable sorting hats that held the placecards, courtesty of RSVP Invitations, and his grandmother made chocolate frogs and cut lilypads to display her creation. Such a heartfelt, homemade, (and dare we say time consuming task) that everyone loved!

IMG_7423IMG_8065

Held at Brandon Hall School in Dunwoody, and catered by Chef Jeremy, all of the cuisine was INCREDIBLE, and the venue really fit in with the Harry Potter theme, as it was very castle-esque. Yes, we just said castle-esque….

IMG_7412IMG_7812

Spectrum Entertainment kept the castle rockin’ with cool tunes for kids, adults, and even a few dragons and gargoyles too.

IMG_8125

Scensations Photography did a wonderful job capturing many a memory for everyone to look back on for years to come.

IMG_7065

Harry Potter jelly beans in a number of cool flavors and colors, made great favors for everyone; there was even a charicature artist onsite to create yet another cool favor for all of the guests to take home and enjoy.

IMG_7644

It didn’t take magic to pull off this awesome event, and we had a great time watching it all come together!

Sugar! Awww Honey, Honey. You Are My Candy Girl!

Held at the Bistro VG Restaurant, this Bat Mitzvah was as sweet as candy.

DSC_8128

Every single decoration, from the cupcake name sign, to every topiary, was made by the guest of honor’s mother. Everything was so beautiful and colorful; we loved this heartfelt touch.

Even the check box was made out of a Dubble Bubble pillow; such a creative and clever idea!

photo 2photo 1

There was even an incredible candy bar comprised of delicious classic treats as well as many retro candies, such as Wax Lips, Pop Rocks, and of course Dubble Bubble. The kids were able to eat their fill as well as take a goodie bag home to ensure the sugar rush was not short lived.

Barry Shapiro took amazing photgraphs of the event, and captured the true essense of the evening.

DSC_8130

True to form, Atlanta Fever kept the dance floor hoppin’ and played all of the hits near and dear to every 13 year old’s heart.

Finally, after the array of candy and treats, a bowl of toothbrushes was the clear choice for a favor, and each guest took one home; a great way to clean those pearly whites after an evening of sugar madness!

Hannah’s Theatrical Bat Mitzvah

Hannah’s theatrical Bat Mitzvah was held at the Westin Perimeter Atlanta North, and was a huge success! As a lover of theatre, Hannah wanted her Bat Mitzvah to reflect her own personal style, and Let’s Celebrate did a wonderful job of bringing her vision to life. With colors of green, pink, and purple the décor created a mix of elegant florals to wow the adults guests, and musical light up vases for the kids.

IMG_1508

Catered by the wonderful Westin staff, the appetizers of pizza and sushi were delicious and a huge hit amongst the guests.

IMG_1755

Tevyeh Party Express provided great music, and ensured that the dance floor was packed throughout the evening.

Hannah’s creative family showered her with love, as her dad created the most awesome photo montage ever, and her aunt wrote songs in her honor. The whole family then acted out the songs, a long standing family tradition. Hannah was both surprised and delighted by her family’s hard work.

IMG_1762

Photographer Eric Bern snapped photos throughout the evening, creating lasting memories for Hannah and her family, and Memories in a Moment provided a green screen so that all of the guests could play around with creative photos of their own.

IMG_1515

RSVP Invitations were responsible for both the invitations and the place cards, and did a fabulous job!

IMG_1751

All of the kids loved the sweatpants for favors, courtesy of Jeckil Promotions.

Hannah had a wonderful time at her Bat Mitzvah, and we wish her nothing but the best for the future!

Testimonial by Hannah’s mother:

“As a busy professional and a “details” person myself, I knew I needed someone who could work in sync with me and in an efficient and organized manner to assist with planning and carrying out the vision I had for my daughter’s bat mitzvah. Tara and her team were fantastic and really kept everything on schedule in the planning process. Tara brought every decision to me to make only after having researched the options and costs. We worked so well together and I did not feel pressured to accept any option that I was not fully comfortable with. Tara was also very helpful in honing in on decisions that my guests would actually notice versus ones that would really not be appreciated or would not take away from the events in anyway. Tara has an eye for detail and is so organized and efficient. Once a decision was made, she was immediate in making sure it was executed exactly how I wanted it. Tara is pleasant and  really easy to work with. I truly can say, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Tara Kornblum and our event went off beautifully and without any glitches.”
