Flip Flopping the Night Away

Jules’ Bat Mitzvah was not your average, traditional celebration.

The theme was fun and bright, yet casual with fun party props like beach balls hanging from the ceiling, sunglasses as place cards, and Jules posing as each table number.

Jules_0208

Hi, I’m Jules. AKA Table #3.

The Dunwoody Country Club, a beautiful venue, nestled in the heart of Dunwoody, provided superior service, world  class cuisine, and  breathtaking views.

Let’s Celebrate Event and Floral Designers helped to bring Jules’ vision to life by providing the perfect ambiance for some fun…even if it wasn’t technically in the sun.

Jules_0229

Keeping with the beachy, casual theme, Jules opted for Dippin’ Dots and an ice cream cooler for dessert, lots of photobooth fun, and even provided a babysitter for the younger guests; allowing each and every guest a chance to kick back, relax and enjoy the evening.

Finally, what’s a great party without great music? Vibe Entertainment did not dissapoint as the party was rockin’ all night long with tunes for kids and adults alike!

We loved being a part of this special event for Jules and her family, and were truly honored she chose Bluming Creativity for her Bat Mitzvah!

Inspirational Hillside Luncheon

If you’ve never heard of Hillside, then you are missing out on an incredible part of what makes Atlanta such a rich community.

Hillside 130

Hillside has been serving children and families since 1888. What began as an orphanage is now a psychiatric residential treatment program that includes their very own SACS accredited school, a therapeutic foster care program, and community intervention programs needed to keep kids safe at home and successful in school and the community.

Hillside 096

Held at the Defoor Centre, we were proud to assist in planning their innaugural Hillside Heroes fundraising luncheon, a key event to introduce the organization to community leaders, and to secure funding for Hillside’s vital mission.

Hillside 007

The luncheon boasted the musical stylings of Atlanta Fever, and Vosamo Photography ensured that not one inspiration moment was missed.

The highlight of the event was a powerful monologue written by local playwright Eboni Warren and performed by local actress Hannah Mills, showcasing the experiences of one child who benefited from Hillside’s services.

We feel so fortunate to help the community learn of treasures such as Hillside, and we wish them many continued years of success!

A Great Gatsby Dream Wedding

Allison and Marc had a unique vision for their Great Gatsby inspired wedding. Not a couple who likes to run with the pack, the two opted for this “throwback” theme that boasted all of the glamour and charm of the Roaring 20’s.

Thanks to Juli Vaughn Designs, their Great Gatsby inspired vision was brought to life.

With small touches like mason jars for the guest’s drink glasses and rustic wooden decor accents, as well as vintage pieces, like an old record player, the decor seamlessly combined the 20’s theme with a bit of southern charm.

Tevyeh Band pumped out the couple’s favorite tunes the night through, and kept the guests dancing throughout the celebration.

“Story Book” Wedding at the Georgian Terrace

Bride and Groom Diana and David, both lovers of old books, libraries, and all things vintage, opted for a unique and memorable wedding at the Georgian Terrace Hotel that turned out to be the stuff of fairytales.

Diana 0196

Diana 0617

Juli Vaughn Designs made their vision come to life with her years of expertise and boundless imagination!

Diana 1094

The ceremony space was absolutely incredible;  Juli created a chuppah made from piled high books and draping book pages. Each bouquet and boutonnière was also embellished with book “leaves”, and even the flower girls dropped book “petals” from their baskets.

Diana 1177Each table’s centerpiece was unique and different from the rest; collections of bud vases, tall cylinders with floating candles and small stacks of books.

Diana 1098

To top off the unique and different decor, RSVP Invitations were responsible for the place cards and menus.

In observance of Shabbat, the bride and groom opted to have their ceremony after a cocktail hour, to provide the rabbi enough time to travel after sunset.

Diana 1193

The cocktail hour boasted a full bar as well as a grazing station of artisan cheeses, dried fruits, flatbreads and crackers, along with passed hors d’oeuvres.

Following the ceremony, the guests were welcomed directly into the reception space for the start of the party.

Diana 0908

US Beat provided a live band, making the bride and groom’s entrance very energetic, and kept the crowd going all night long!

Many a lasting memory was made by the incredible work of Vosamo Photography, and Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet provided the most incredible cake – layers of vanilla with coconut and carrot with cream cheese. Deeeee-lish!

To top the evening off, their guests were treated to a late night snack of soft jumbo pretzels with cheese and mustard dipping sauces – such a hit! The pretzels were even served inside of paper sleeves that were stamped to look like pages from a book!

Diana 1238

All in all, this was an incredible wedding that we feel so honored to have been a part of.

We wish Diana and David nothing but the best in this next chapter (see what we did there?) of their life!

Olympic Sized Bar Mitzvah!

With an Olympic-sized passion for the Olympics, there was little question as to what Connor would choose for the theme of his Bar Mitzvah party.

And the perfect venue for this milestone event?!

The Atlanta History Center; site of an exhibit featuring the basketball court from the 1996 Olympic Games here in Atlanta, as well as a display of Olympic torches through the years, and interactive games for the kids.

connor1013connor1031

Connor knew exactly which countries and sports he wanted represented during his celebration, and Let’s Celebrate helped bring his vision to life through sophisticated decor.

Actual Olympic Games Medal. How cool is this?!

Connor was even given a real participation medal from the 1996 Games!

Catered by Added Touch, the cuisine was both beautiful and delectable.

connor1020

DJ Atlanta Fever kept the party rockin’ all night long, and many a memory was made by Patti Covert with Scensations Photography.

Cheer on Courtney!

Courtney’s Bat Mitzvah made us want to get up and cheer!

Berman 0387

And talk about making an entrance; Courtney and the Atlanta Falcons cheerleading squad danced their way into the party to the delight and surprise of the guests.

Berman 0359

Not only did the cheerleaders make quite an entrance, they also performed a choreographed dance for the crowd, took pictures with the guests in front of the green screen provided by Button It Up and signed autographs. Everyone was delighted by their presence and willingness to make Courtney’s big day a memorable one.

Held at Maggiano’s in Buckhead, this celebration was certainly memorable and needless to say, the food was delicious. The restaurant staff was extremely helpful and hospitable, even when Courtneys insatiable guests went through 400+ Shirley temples! That’s alot of maraschino cherries!

Berman 0157

The amazingly creative decor was done by Courtney’s mom, with just a little help from Jeckil Promotions, Inc. who printed the flags and personalized water bottles as party favors, and Balloonacy who was (obviously) responsible for the balloons.

Photographer Ross Cohen snapped photos and created lasting memories the whole night through and DJ Atlanta Fever rocked the house, keeping the dance floor packed all night long.

Courtney’s special day was undoubtedly an event to remember, and the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders certainly made the crowd “rise up” and cheer!

Rustic Modern Flare at CBT!

A Bat Mitzvah was celebrated with a color theme inspired by and borrowed from Anthropologie. Mom, a creative “repurposer” and “recycler” even planned “girl parties” the year preceding the event where some of the decorations for the Bat Mitzvah celebration were made. Trees that were cut down in the neighborhood, as well as poster boards, and painted plastic water bottles were given a new purpose as centerpieces and flowers. A vibrant color theme with an earthy, rustic style delighted the Bat Mitzvah girl, her family and guests. Mom worked closely with us on all the details!

From the colorful cutlery, to the kippot, to the tablecloths – everything  matched.

Artfully arranged, colorful kippot await the guests!

For the Shabbat dinner decor, check out how the Bat Mitzvah girl and her mom’s involvement showcased their creative talents with the white painted stems from cut-down trees and delicate flowers made from recycled plastic bottles! The Bat Mitzvah decor featured a great way to reuse things.

Check out the picture below to see the water bottle flower centerpieces up close.

A very good friend of the family catered delicious food  for the celebration events held at CBT throughout the Bat Mitzvah weekend!

Check out the flowers that flanked both sides of the bimah! Made out of ripped poster board, the flowers gave the room a festive feeling and popped with color!

Check out the close up photo of the flowers! It is amazing what a little imagination can create!

Check out the green flowers found in the photos below! They circled the shulchan table in the middle of the sanctuary giving the planters a decorative touch!
