It’s A ‘Canes Thing.

Ben’s ‘Final Four’ themed Bar Mitzvah was held at the perfect place for a sports themed event:  Mazzy’s in Norcross.

43

Ben is a huge Miami Hurricanes fan so the Kiddush was orange and green, and we tried to weave the ‘Canes theme and colors throughout the party. Ballonacy did an awesome job with towering balloon structures and sporty centerpieces.

This family was so fun to work with. Dad changed his jersey to all different Philadelphia teams throughout the evening; more wardrobe changes than a star studded Hollywood event!

15

AAA DJ Services arrived ready to spin all of the sweet jams for the excited guests, but the unexpected (and might we add, every planner’s nightmare) happened and the dancers got a flat tire on the way! Tara’s quick thinking and can-do attitude quickly found a way to “borrow” a couple of waitresses, throw them in some glow jewelry and scoot them out on to the dance floor! They did a great job, and we did what we had to do to make the party happen!

78

Luckily, the rest of the evening went perfectly smooth. Blooming Expressions Photography captured some great shots of Ben having the time of his life, surrounded by his friends and family.

146

Southern Nights Photobooth set up shop, and provided silly props and a variety of backdrops; a casual outlet for some less formal photo fun.

The crowd celebrated and danced the night away, and when the party ended got to take home individually wrapped Krispe Kreme doughnuts and ‘Final Four’ themed t-shirts to commemorate the event.

We had an awesome time celebrating with Ben and his family. This event once again reminded us how lucky we are to work with such great vendors. Thanks again to the Mazzy’s staff for helping us roll with the punches!

The Kiddush centerpieces were wrapped basketballs, so that they could be donated to Amy’s Holiday Party after the event.

Love Actually.

Leah and David said a beautiful “I Do” at the gorgeous Intercontinental Buckhead Hotel. The Intercontinental staff was IN-credible! (See what we did there?) But seriously, we loved working side by side with the staff, as their efficiency made our job that much easier and enjoyable.

MLP-7263

Savage Garden did a stunning job with the décor, creating a whimsical garden look with modern and crisp touches. They created a towering, magnificent “burning bush” in the center of the reception space, allowing all of the guests to admire its beauty, and created the most beautiful chuppah we have ever seen!

MLP-5068MLP-5113

Atlanta Event Lights also provided a twinkle curtain as well as the pipe and drape for the ceremony, and both Peachtree Tents and Events, and Sweet Seats provided the chairs for the reception. The result of the two was absolutely stunning.

MLP-7014

The Intercontinental provided the delectable cuisine, which ranged from mouth watering salami carving stations during cocktail hour, to an artfully crafted, plated dinner. Dessert even kept with the garden theme, as tiny, tempting dessert morsels were served on a tiered tree platter. Dare us to say something else with a “T” in it. 🙂

MLP-7147

The High Cotton Band was AHH-mazing! They ROCKED the reception and literally kept the dance floor packed the whole night. We ourselves may or may not have done a little dancing at the rear of the room. 😉

MLP-7080MLP-7096

My Life Photography captured all of the memorable moments and were wonderfully efficient; especially when they were losing the light (and the attention of the bridal party) following the reception.

MLP-7235

Perhaps the most memorable attribute to note about this event was how wonderfully sweet Leah and David were. Though (like every bride and groom) they were bombarded with people and love from all directions, they remained genuinely sweet to everyone, and radiated happiness throughout the evening.MLP-7260

It was truly a pleasure to be a part of such a special wedding, and we wish the new Mr. & Mrs. all the best for their forever together!

The Atlanta History Center is a sprawling, rustic space and Flower Buds did a wonderful job with  the décor; adorning the space with soft and elegant touches, everything the bride dreamed of!

The reception then commenced, and guests feasted on a delicious duet of salmon and brisket, courtesy of Dennis Dean Catering. They even prepared mini burgers as a late night snack for all of the hungry partyers!

IMG_4125

Sweet Startts created a gorgeous and delicious 4-tiered vanilla cake with strawberry icing that perfectly matched the soft and romantic theme of the evening.

IMG_4541

GLOW, a 7 piece band, nailed the hora with an electric violin! So fun! They also did an amazing job with their high energy style, keeping the dance floor packed and the party hoppin’. No one wanted to leave, it is a planners favorite problem!

Eric Bern Photography was sure not to miss a beat, capturing all of the dance floor action, as well as all of the beautiful moments between the new Mr. & Mrs. Fennie.

Held at the Sweetwater Brewery, the adults enjoyed a variety of craft beers along with delicious cuisine courtesy of Talk of the Town Catering. Salmon, grilled veggies, cous cous, and a spinach salad, were enjoyed by the adults, while the kids chowed down on grilled cheese sandwiches, sliders and tater tots. To top it off, everyone was treated to an ice cream bar for dessert; a cool trend that is loved by kids and adults alike!

Let’s Celebrate  was responsible for the décor, while Peachtree Tents and Events provided the furniture rentals. We especially love these cool ghost chairs! The décor was absolutely gorgeous, and transformed the industrial space into a rustic, yet elegant enchanted forest. The centerpieces combined sticks, moss, and soft flowers with pretty tea lights, to seamlessly blend the contrasting pieces.

How Sweet it is to Be Loved by You

Melissa and Jason said “I Do” surrounded by family and friends at the Atlanta History Center. With a processional song like “All You Need is Love” by The Beatles, and played by The Wedding Players,  it was clear that this was going to be a fun filled wedding from the moment it started!

ShubCooper_1364

The décor, courtesy of 2000 A.D. Inc., was simple and timeless, with colors of white, cream and pretty pastels. To shed a little light on the subject, the bride and groom’s monogram also lit up the reception dance floor.

Catered by A Kosher Touch, the cuisine was delicious. The cocktail hour included multiple grazing stations, featuring some of Melissa’s family’s South African specialties, and at the end of the evening, late night snacks were passed for the hungry partygoers. #EZRAVIVA – joined as one!

Aviva and Ezra’s wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at Blue Mark Studios. Good Food Truck and King of Pops provided delicious food, and the evening was filled with laid back fun, including lawn games like cornhole and bocce ball.

Berman rehearsal

The couple’s wedding was held on a rainy Spring day at Summerour Studios in Midtown. Though the weather was gloomy, this event was anything but! The couple’s guests were all PUMPED to celebrate this special day, and we joked throughout the evening that the individuals in this crowd were clearly professional wedding guests!

The evening began with the Kabbalat Panim, and was so fun to watch! The bride recited a few traditional excerpts, the groom and his buddies sang during the Tisch, while doing a great job of polishing off a few bottles of scotch. The whole crowd was invited to participate in the fun! The couple then said their vows and sealed the deal in front of all of their family and friends.

Juli Vaughn Designs did a fabulous job creating the rustic, no fuss décor for the laidback couple. With simple yet elegant touches, the venue was transformed from an industrial space to a soft, garden-y retreat, with the rain falling softly outside. Perhaps the most memorable part of this event was the surprise schtick, performed by the wedding guests – friends, family and the bridal party. Aviva and Ezra were seated in the center of the dance floor, while their friends put on a joyful display of all different aspects of their life (New York, Canada, college, youth group and more were all dressed up to represent), to the crowd’s delight.

The amazing 755 Club team provided delicious cuisine for both the kids and adults alike. We will spare you all of the delicious details of each dish, but some of the highlights included a nacho bar, and mac ‘n cheese bites.

Located at a private home in Dunwoody, and catered by Zest Catering, we planned a two-part celebration.

First, the guests were welcomed into the house for a traditional cocktail hour, with an open bar and passed hors d’eouvres.  Then, as everyone milled about noshing on apps and cocktails, we surprised the crowd by inviting them into “part two” of the celebration: an astonishing 14 car garage, decked out like a vintage 50’s diner!

a-167

Needless to say, it caught everyone by surprise! Greeted with Coke Floats and French Fries, the guests were transported back to the “Nifty Fifties”. The 50’s music was turned way up on an antique juke box, the catering staff was in “sock hop” attire, and diner favorites were being served from two buffets.

Monte Carlo Productions provided the amazing 50’s décor, with homemade centerpieces made of melted vinyl records, chrome-rimmed diner tables and chairs, upholstered booths, large cut outs of 50’s style cars, and thematic back drops.

Button it Up green screen was stationed upstairs enabling guests to have tons of fun with the 50’s theme, providing fun props and vintage backdrops.

Photographer Jeremy Adamo made his way around the party, to ensure that priceless memories were captured and the “Fabulous Fifties” were not soon to be forgotten!

Weekend Warrior: Dara’s Destination Bat-Mitzvah

It’s not everyday that you spend an entire glorious weekend celebrating the achievements of one very special girl, but Dara’s family did it up in style, with a weekend long celebration! It kicked off with a really fun hospitality suite next to the pool for the weekend.

IMG_2353   IMG_2354

The weekend started with a Friday night dinner. Let’s Celebrate did a wonderful job on the décor, and designed each table with a different city or place that Dara loves.

IMG_2358
IMG_2364

The Hilton Garden Inn did a fantastic job throughout the entire weekend with delectable choices for both the kids and adults. Friday night’s adult plated dinner boasted grilled Lillian chicken and grilled salmon, a spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a delicious cheesecake for dessert. The kids’ dinner featured chicken fingers, mac and cheese, and cookies and brownies; what’s not to love?!

A cake for all of this month’s birthdays was also featured, and Dara did a candle lighting to recognize all of the special people that made her weekend so incredible.

Once the Temple service was complete, a delicious lunch followed. Caterer Lynn Ranew Mertins did not disappoint, and featured an assortment of bagels with cream cheese and lox, fruit, pasta salad, and tea sandwiches.

IMG_2376   IMG_2371

Additionally, there was a Caesar salad, cheese tray, chicken and broccoli salad, and mini desserts; brownies, lemon squares, and pretzel rods. The décor was done by Renterpieces, an organization that helps support the JF & CS Kosher Food Pantry by donating a portion of it’s earnings to those in need.

IMG_2370

The party continued that evening at the Hilton Garden Inn, and featured, you guessed it; more delicious food! The food list is so extensive that we will spare you all of the glorious details, but some of the highlights included: a Mediterranean appetizer display, tomato soup with grilled cheese in a shot glass, a carving station, a stir fry station, a slider station, and an ice cream station. One thing is for sure; nobody left this weekend celebration hungry!

1166

IMG_2404

Keisha with Cake-A-Licious did an amazing job with a custom cake featuring flavors of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and red velvet.

1937

Since Dara is a huge fan of sewing and fashion, Let’s Celebrate Décor helped bring her colorful and creative vision to life. With colors of lavender and turquoise with pops of lime and hot pink, the décor featured manikins with various outfit options, as well as oversized buttons, scissors and tape. So creative!

IMG_2381

DJ Niko Chan did an amazing job, featuring a dancing girl on a sway pole as well as BadAss Ballerinas who did a cool dance number to kick off the party in style.

IMG_2410

Memories in a Moment green screen set up shop during the party, so that all of the guests could take silly themed photos with various props and backgrounds.

James Futch Videography didn’t miss a beat, and captured all of the great moments on candid camera, while photographer Traci Henry took beautiful still shots throughout the evening as well.

IMG_2387

Finally, to round out a great party, Georgia Airbrush sent all of the guests home with custom painted shirts and drawstring bags.

The weekend festivities concluded on Sunday morning with a beautiful brunch. Catered once again by Lynn, the cuisine included an omelet station, pancake station, muffins, fruit, and of course mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for the adult guests. The décor was soft and simple; all of the chefs wore monogrammed aprons in colors of lime green and purple. The tables featured flower displays alongside small pictures on sticks, of Dara cooking. Another one of her many interests! The flowerpots were provided by Lynn as well.

What a whirlwind of a weekend! Congratulations, Dara on your accomplishments; we had a wonderful time making your special weekend….so…well….special!

Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland!

Held at the Marriott in Alpharetta, Ellerin’s Bat Mitzvah took us far from the south to a beautiful and whimsical winter wonderland! Actually, come to think of it, it was p-r-e-t-t-y wintery this year in the great city of Atlanta, but we digress…

Ellerin_0232wmEllerin_0178wm

Kim Quinn Designs, Balloonacy, and Atlanta Lights all came together to create the “chilly” décor. Kim designed gorgeous centerpieces with branches and sparkly “snow”, as well as this amazing custom sign, and other creative touches. Balloonacy did what they do best: make balloons! And Atlanta Lights created a cool effect; allowing snowflakes to light up the walls, ceiling and dance floor.

Ellerin_0204wmEllerin_0176wm

The Marriott provided a delicious buffet dinner for the adults and a kid friendly buffet as well. The Marriott staff was incredible and ensured that all of the guests were well taken care of, not missing a beat even on a few special meal requests.

Ellerin_0182wm

Vibe Entertainment was amazing! The dancers and DJ kept the guests crowded on the dance floor all night long and Ellerin’s little sister got much more than she could have ever imagined in the way of cool accessories. With several blow up guitars, funky sunglasses, glow in the dark necklaces and much more, we teased her dad, warning him he might need a bigger car!

Ellerin_0828wmEllerin_1052wm

Steven Dewberry Photography was onsite to capture all of the memories; we especially love this fun shot of Ellerin and her family!

Ellerin_1042wm

Memories in a Moment provided a “creative outlet” for all of the kids, allowing them to take tons of photos with cool props and various backgrounds.

Ellerin_0458wm

Georgia Airbrush created custom, airbrushed T-shirts for all of the kids. With tons of different colors and templates to chose from, this was a real hit amongst the crowd!

Ellerin_0341wm

Finally, as guests began to leave, they were treated to one last snack; individually wrapped Krispy Kreme doughnuts in a trendy, chevron wrapper with Ellerin’s name on it, as well as a warm, decadent hot chocolate.

Ellerin_0184wm

Despite the “chilly” theme, Ellerin’s special day was nothing but warm family fun, and an evening that she and her family are sure to cherish for years to come.
