Ben’s Bar Mitzvah was not your typical sports themed party. Ben is a modern day “Karate Kid” so he opted for his theme to reflect his dedication and admiration to the practice of Karate.
Held at Temple Sinai and catered by Bold American, this party boasted a spacious and elegant venue as well as delicious cuisine!
During cocktail hour, the adults noshed on smoked salmon cornet, spring rolls, and mouth watering lamb meatballs in sake cups. Dinner featured a pasta station (heaven!) and a buffet of chicken, steak, risotto and the like.
As the party went on, guests were entertained by the musical stylings of Atlanta Fever, and Bunkado featured Japanese art, writing the kids’ names in Japanese!
Memories in a Moment (always a crowd favorite) was onsite to provide the guests a fun photo outlet, while Scensations took care to capture professional photos of all the day’s festivities.
Perhaps the most entertaining and different feature of this party was the sword presentation by Kalman Csoka. Two of Ben’s teachers delighted the crowd with a presentation of flips, kicks, sword moves, and more! This was definitely a unique part of any Mitzvah, so videographer James Futch made sure to capture this (as well as the rest of the fun) throughout the party.
Track Seven did an amazing job on the décor, with the simple yet bold black and red colors of Japanese culture. We especially love the centerpiece shown below!
As the evening came to a close, dessert was served and since it was Ben’s birthday, Eileen Carter Creations made a one-of-a-kind cake made to look like a Karate Ghee! Other desserts included Mimi’s caramel tarts, cookie dough on a stick, and an ice cream station. The kids loved it!
This party had it all, and we were so happy to help Ben celebrate his special day!
