Cole threw his fun filled Bar Mitzvah Celebration at the Hyatt Perimeter in Sandy Springs.

untitled (9 of 20)

Like most boys, Cole is a huge college football fan and his theme reflected just that. With each table boasting a different college football team centerpiece, and a super fun football field place card display, it wasn’t hard for guests to know that Cole was a die hard fan. A special thanks to Let’s Celebrate for bringing it all together.

As guests entered, they were greeted with delicious apps, courtesy of A Kosher Touch, and a signature cocktail, the “Sunrise”, composed of orange juice, cranberry and vodka. Some of the apps included seared ahi tuna wontons, caramelized onion and fig tartlettes, and mini crunchy tacos served with a mini Patron margarita shot. YUM.

Once the adults were invited into the party, they were greeted by a fabulous DJ we hadn’t had the pleasure of working with until this event. Es Puete Productions spent hours setting up their 3 level stage, huge sound productions system and moving screens. They even had a live vocalist and guitarist, and a live video feed recording the party. All the kids loved seeing themselves on the big screen as the party rocked on!

If alllll of that wasn’t entertainment enough, Memories in a Moment also provided a fun photo element for all of the guests, and Air Illustrations did fun airbrush tattoos for all of the kids.

A beautiful plated salad was served, and then guests helped themselves to food stations boasting Prime Rib, smashed potatoes, a spinach roulade, snapper, and tons of gorgeous, fresh veggies with a number of yummy sauces. Needless to say, nobody went hungry!

untitled (1 of 1)-6

Oh! And even the kid’s food was fabulous; boasting a trendy and chic build-your-own noodle and rice bar with all the fixin’s.

After guests had had their fill, the party rocked on in true college football style; the servers wore referee jerseys and none other than the Falcons Cheerleaders made a surprise entrance to the delight of the crowd! The cheerleaders were such great sports too; they even joined in with the Hora!

untitled (1 of 1)-2 copy

Needless to say photographer Jeffrey Blumenthal and videographer James Futch captured this and all of the other memorable moments on film.

untitled (13 of 20)

As the evening began to wind down, a beautiful and decadent dessert display made it debut. Some of the fabulous items included a live flambé station, a number of pick-up sweets and a candy station for the younger guests.

Cole and his family had such a wonderful time celebrating with their friends and family and we certainly enjoyed being a part of the fun as well. Congrats, Cole!

Halloween Tricks and (DIY) Treats!

Ahhhh, Fall. There’s a chill in the air, the leaves are falling, and the holidays are just around the corner. The first holiday happens to be one of our favorites: Halloween!

Here are some fabulously quick and easy DIY treat ideas for your office, kids’ school or for your next Halloween party. We scared up some of our favorites and hope that you enjoy them!

1) “Bugs and Kisses”

October 2013 604 copy

How cute is this?! And so easy to make. Simply grab Hershey’s kisses and some plastic bugs from the Dollar Store. Stick them in a bag and label it with the free printable provided on the link above. Easy!

2)  Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats- Super fun Halloween snack or treat. Perfect for parties.

These are so adorable. Simply make Rice Krispie treats as you normally would, but stir in red and yellow food coloring right before you add the Rice Krispies. Use Tootsie Rolls for the stems and green Fruit Roll-Ups for the leaves. Check out the full tutorial above.

3) Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats

The only downside to the above pumpkin treats is that you have to get your hands dirty to roll them into pumpkins. If you’re not into that, try this Frankenstein version! You have to add the candy eyes and pipe on a chocolate mouth, but we’d say it’s worth it!

4) Ghost Lollipops

These lolly pop ghosts are SO CUTE! They're super easy and make a fun treat for…:

These are for the gal (or guy) who is really pressed for time. Simply take lollipops, wrap them with a napkin and tie with a cute ribbon. Draw on a couple of ghost eyes with a Sharpie and give yourself a hand for keeping it as simple as is humanly possible!

5) Play-Doh Monster Kits

These adorable little Halloween Play Doh Monster Kits are the perfect treat for the classroom this October - or make them up as favors for a Monster Birthday Party!

We round out our list with this non-candy, no assembly required monster kit. Simply throw together the materials, put them in a plastic bag and complete with the free printable included in the above link. Easy. Peasy.

We hope you’ve enjoyed these so-easy-they’re-scary ideas! Happy Halloween from all of us here at BC!

What a Day for a White Wedding

Matt and Andrea said “I Do” at the fabulous Loews Hotel in Midtown. Jim White and Lynne Wells Designs adorned the space in romantic white and cream colors with beautiful attention to detail, while Crush Event Rentals provided gorgeous furniture.

Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed delicious appetizers of cheeses, dried fruits, and grilled veggies during cocktail hour.

Cooper_Oppy_1858

Once the guests were invited into the reception space, they found their seats and at each place setting there was a mini Challah from Best Breads in different flavors.

While we’re on the subject of food, let us say that the Loews Hotel did not disappoint in said department! Dinner was quite the elegant affair: guests enjoyed an incredible and colorful baby lettuce salad with a chive, lemon vinaigrette, vegetarian sushi with wasabi aioli, a grilled cobia fish with a beautiful vegetable medley topped with a tomato, basil and shallot relish. YUM.

Now that you’re trying to eat your screen, let’s move on to the partaaayyyyyyy!!

Cooper_Oppy_1509

There is nothing like a live band for your event and Atlanta Party Band from East Coast Entertainment simply brought the house down! The energy in the room was palpable and all of the guests packed the dance floor throughout the night.

Cooper_Oppy_1557

If there is one thing we recommend for any event, it’s a great videographer. Often times it’s hard to remember (even though you’re sure you will) the little details of such an epic event as your wedding, so a great videographer is key. A big thanks to Reason I Love for capturing all of the fabulous memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Should we talk about food again?!

Ali’s Cookies created a deliciously different lavender flavored wedding cake that was a huge crowd hit, and The Loews did a fabulous job on the ever popular dessert bar.

Perhaps the most memorable sweet treat, however, was the Marzipan made by the matriarchs from the bride’s side of the family.

Cooper_Oppy_1946

Congratulations to Andrea and Matt on embarking on this new chapter in their lives. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day; we loved watching it all come together!

Testimonial:

After witnessing Tara’s endless energy and magnetic personality at my son’s wedding, I knew I wanted her to assist in planning my daughter’ s wedding. In fact, she was the first phone call I made! Initially I wondered if I needed her throughout the whole process. But after deciding to hire her from the start, I was grateful many times over with my decision. Tara provided resources and experience with vendors and negotiating tactics and suggestions when contracting. She was enthusiastic and can-do throughout. She responded promptly to calls and email, and many times worked after traditional business hours. Exuding confidence and knowledge of every detail of our wedding weekend, she unknowingly provided a much needed dose of calmness to our family. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend hiring Tara Kornblum and her pleasant and capable Bluming Creativity staff when planning an event.

Sunday’s Magic Show, held at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, was a packed show and all of Saturday’s night’s magicians performed along with the star of the show himself, Ari.

Carnival Promotions provided popcorn for the guests and the show was amazing. Ari is so charismatic and comfortable on the stage and you could see his parents, Doug and Leslie, beaming with pride from the sidelines.
